MASTER MAKEUP ARTISTRY PROGRAM

900 hours - 6 months

1200 hours - 9 months when combined w/ Skin Care

The Master Makeup Artistry is our longest, most comprehensive program for students who want to be well-rounded, train in every media, and work both as a makeup and special effects artist. Graduates of this program will be prepared for entry-level employment in the cosmetic, fashion, film, TV, bridal, salon/spa, theatrical and entertainment industries. There are 5 modules:

Special Makeup FX

A Diploma is presented upon completion of a Program.

PRODUCTION MAKEUP ARTISTRY PROGRAM

Beauty - Fashion - Film - Television -Theater

600 hours - 4 months

900 hours - 7 months when combined w/ Skin Care

With makeup training in all the medias, graduates of this program never have to turn down a job. They are versatile and skilled in all areas of makeup artistry. Graduates will be prepared for entry-level employment as makeup artists in the cosmetic, fashion, bridal, salon/spa, film, TV, theatrical and entertainment industries.This program consists of four modules:

Fashion Makeup

Character Makeup

Makeup for Film, TV & Theater

A Diploma is presented upon completion of a Program.

FASHION MAKEUP ARTISTRY PROGRAM

Beauty - Fashion

300 hours Days- 10 weeks

600 hours - 5 months when combined w/ Skin Care

Designers launch seasonal collections that fuel the world of fashion and beauty. This makeup program explores the intricacies of this work with models, photographers, and designers. Graduates of this program will be prepared for entry-level employment as a makeup artist in the cosmetic, fashion, bridal, salon/spa, and entertainment industries.

This program consists of 2 modules:

SKIN CARE PROGRAM

Skin Care

300 hours -Days 10 weeks

This program covers the knowledge and procedures needed to run a successful skin care business. It also satisfies the licensing requirements for freelance makeup artists practicing in Florida.

SPECIAL MAKEUP FX COURSES

Film - Television - Theater

300 hours - 9 weeks

The 210 hours Prosthetic Course is offered TWTh 6-10pm

Students focus on the design and creation of prosthetic & dental appliances. This involves conceptualization, life casting, sculpting, and molding, and culminates with a photo shoot of their final creature design. These are the final 2 courses of the Master Program:

A Certificate is presented upon completion. As a stand alone curriculum, Career Services are unavailable. For individuals who want to obtain employment in the Industry, we recommend the 900 clock hour Master Makeup Artistry Program.

INDIVIDUAL MAKEUP CLASSES

For individuals who want to expand their knowledge and focus in a specific area or have a time or budgetary restraint, Cosmix allows students to enroll in individual makeup classes. If you want to freelance as a makeup artist, we recommend our first segment- Beauty Makeup. It includes 4 courses: Fundamental, Airbrushing, Wedding & Event Makeup, and Retail & Marketing.

Makeup Artistry Classes & Skin Care

Many makeup artists work in the beauty industry and offer skin care services. After makeup artistry classes, Cosmix graduates are eligible for a $1500 alumni scholarship for our skin care program. You will be well-rounded and have another avenue of income and more employment opportunities: Brow Bars, Spas, Plastic Surgery Centers, and more.
